Jay Hamvas
After running track in High School I stayed active in my 20's and 30's by weight lifting, playing softball, and chasing around my son.
I started a new chapter in my life in my 40's and found distance running and eventually Triathlon. I quickly figured out that I found my passion. With a strong competitive nature I strived to become a better athlete. Plant based nutrition and meditation quickly found their way into my life. I have competed in races from 5k to Ironman but really enjoy XTERRA and Half Iron distance triathlons. I received my USAT Level 1 Triathlon Coach, RRCA Level 1 Running Coach, and Slowtwitch Triathlon Swim Coach Certificates so that I can help other athletes with the love of Triathlon and Running reach their goals and fullest potential. |
Teresa Hamvas
I have been interested in good health for nearly all my life. I've spent over 20 years exercising and striving to eat "healthy". Several years ago I came to learn that the healthiest diet we can follow is a whole foods plant based diet.
In addition to much research on my own, I have completed the T. Colin Campbell certification program in Plant Based Nutrition through eCornell University. I have been a certified personal trainer, through ACE (American Council on Exercise), since 2003. I am an avid recreational runner and also enjoy teaching spinning, PiYo, and power yoga. |
